There has been a glimmer of hope among the death and misery of the Republic of Congo as a result of the Ebola outbreak, and this hope is reflected in a baby called Benedict.
The Congolese Ministry of Health has described the six-week-old girl as a "miracle" because she survived Ebola after contracting the virus, a newborn baby.
"The kid called Benoît and she was born on October 31st," Ministry spokeswoman Jessica Ilonga said yesterday. The mother died during delivery, while she was also infected with the Ebola virus.
