A new study has revealed that the mysterious planets, which seemed to be absent from the universe, have turned into a "super-rocky" land.
The experts discovered that one of these objects, called "hot planets of Neptune", lost its atmosphere very quickly.
Neptune's hot bodies are known as Neptune-like planets, flying near host stars, quickly losing their atmosphere under certain conditions, evolving them into a different type of planet.

These distant worlds are transformed into smaller planets called "super-Earths", large rocky planets 10 times heavier than the Earth.
"This is the first time that a planet is rapidly losing its atmosphere, which is affecting its development," said one of the authors of the study, Dr. Finest Bauer.
The team at the University of Geneva said the discovery could possibly explain why there are too many "neptune hot" planets in the universe.
This type of planet has intrigued scientists for years because of the lack of medium sized hot planets in other star systems.
Scientists have found many large planets, the size of Jupiter, as well as many smaller planets, the size of the Earth, but nothing comparable to the size of Neptune.
