Mexican qualifier Saúl Canillo Alvarez won the WBA World Heavyweight title by defeating British rocker Rocky Fielding with a technical knockout in New York today.
The 28-year-old Mexican boxer, the most prominent candidate for the win, showed his desire to win early, hit successively and dropped his British rival four times.
Alvarez, who has an impressive record of 51 wins against one loss and two draws, finished with a strong left hand in Kolding Field, followed by Kolding Field.
Alvarez fired 35 punches into his opponent's body.
