The astronomer and historian of Kuwait, Adel Al-Saadoun, said that the comet, which is approaching the earth these days, can be seen in the skies of the country on Sunday night until the next day. dawn the next day to the naked eye.

Al-Saadoun said Saturday in a statement to the Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA) that one could see the comet at the naked eye or binoculars (al-Darbil) after sunset. sun from the east, stating that it was best to be the place of vision in the shelter of the lights.

He explained that the comet, whose name dates back to astronomer Carl Wertanin in 1948, revolves around the planet every five years and is characterized by its greenish color and darkened image.

He added that the distance between the Earth and the orbit is about 11 million kilometers, about 30 times further from the moon, where the average after the moon of the Earth is 400,000 km, pointing out that ( Vertanin) is the tenth largest culprit on the planet since 1950.
