BERLIN (Reuters) – German champions Bayern Munich's German side Hassan Salih Hamedzic have prevented Liverpool from defeating Egypt's Mohammed Salah in the last 16 games of the Champions League.
February 19 sets the date of the first leg between Liverpool and Bayern Munich at Anfield and March 13 for the return leg at the Allianz Arena.
"Liverpool are the best team in Europe right now and are currently leading the English Premier League," said Hassan Saleh Hamidzic. "Liverpool have great football and their players have incredible physical strength."
"We are looking forward to playing at Anfield, such challenges are needed to add even more to your professional career," said Bayern Munich sports director.
The draw for the final of the European Champions League in Nyon, Switzerland, is to meet the best teams from the eight teams in second place. The teams that met in the group stage can not meet in the round of 16, from the same country with only one face.
Liverpool had its place in the UEFA Champions League knockout after being second in Group C with nine points behind Frenchman Saint-Germain and two points behind Bayern Munich.
