Sources have revealed the symbolic names of upcoming Xbox devices in 2020, where they will be behind Xbox and Xbox.
The first will be codenamed Anaconda and offer the highest performance, thanks to components made specifically for Microsoft by AMD, and will probably carry an SSD storage drive to speed up the game.
The second will be codenamed Lockhart and will be cheaper, but will improve performance to get closer to the performance of the current Xbox One X.
Both devices will support reverse compatibility with older Xbox games up to Xbox 360, which will allow Microsoft to reduce upgrade restrictions on new devices.
Other reports have revealed a surprise device that Microsoft will announce next month for a spring launch. It will only work online and does not support laser discs. It works uniquely by combining cloud processing and the platform.
It is also likely that Microsoft will unveil a program of converting laser disks into digital content with this new platform to allow the conversion of games on CD-ROM into digital games in some stores.
Next year, Microsoft will begin testing the Project xCloud to allow games to run and display on the Xbox platform, but on devices such as personal computers, tablets, and even smartphones.
