Tomorrow – Portuguese commercial agent Jorge Mendes revealed new details in Cristiano Ronaldo's move from Real Madrid to Juventus.
Mendez, Ronaldo's manager, said that the Portuguese star had asked him since January to start his move to Juventus.
"I told Ronaldo that the deal would be complicated but not impossible," said Marca, quoted by Al-Jazeera.
Mendez's conversation is corroborated by earlier reports that Ronaldo and Real Madrid President Florentino Perez were not in the running, and that his decision was made early last season.
The Portuguese commercial agent indicated that the first contact with the Real management had taken place in March, that is to say before the return of the Royal Club against Juventus in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
