The National Committee for Integrated Vector Management of the Ministry of Health of Oman held an extraordinary meeting to discuss efforts and procedures for the eradication of the Egyptian eagle, the main cause of the virus of the yellow fever "dengue".

The committee also urged citizens to deal with the bug several times, including the need to empty the water tanks and brush their hair every five days.
The Committee also urged citizens to get rid of water recovered in air conditioners and to change the water fans and other places of water collection.
The Committee stressed the importance of changing the water in animal and bird drinking vessels and brushing their teeth before filling them every five days, as well as covering the water tanks, which they are on the roofs of houses or on the ground of tanks.
The Committee asked citizens to dispose of used tires and to properly dispose of empty coloring cans and damaged household utensils.
