A cholera outbreak has reappeared among inmates of Central Prison in central Ibb Province, fearing a widespread disease among more than 2,000 prisoners, said a medical source at the online source.

The source added that one of the prison inmates, "Zaid Hatem", had been infected by the cholera outbreak yesterday and had been transferred to hospital for treatment.

In 2017, three inmates from the central prison died of cholera, including Ahmed Saleh, 30, Ali Hamoud al-Naqib, and others who were subsequently found.

The incident is a third wave of the epidemic that swept the province after two previous waves recorded more than 120 deaths and about 40,000 cases of suspicion.
