Astronauts have trouble walking on the ground

Upon their return to Earth, astronauts suffer from many problems resulting from the difficulty of adapting to life on Earth after a long time in space.

According to Mashable, these problems could be the inability to walk in a straight line, as was the case recently with Drew Vestel, a NASA astronaut who returned to Earth on Tuesday.

Vistel, who spent 197 days at the International Space Station, posted a video on his Twitter account Friday, showing his training to walk again.

Vistel had difficulty walking in a straight line and adapting to gravity, and his companions gathered around him to catch him when he fell.

Astronauts practice physical exercise every day for two hours, while they are in the space, in order to maintain their muscle mass and bone density in the absence of gravity.

Back on Earth, the pioneers undergo a series of physical and medical tests to recover from the impact of their space residence.
