An Argentine woman returned to her family after being kidnapped by human trafficking gangs in the 1980s.
According to the BBC, the 45-year-old woman was sent back to her family after a joint operation by Argentine and Bolivian authorities after the Argentine police received information about her presence in Bermejo, in the south of the country.
The police managed to locate the house in which the woman was detained and released her, as well as her 9-year-old son.
The Argentinian authorities said in a statement that the Argentinean woman, who had been detained since the 1980s, had finally been able to return to her family's home in Mar del Plata, Argentina.
