The farthest point of the solar system. The discovery of the purple asteroid "Far Out"

A team of American astronomers has discovered the farthest point of the solar system, at a distance one hundred times greater than that of the Earth and the sun.

Astronomers have spotted the tiny violet planet called Far-Out with the help of a Japanese telescope 8 meters. The planet is about 11 billion kilometers from the sun (about 17 billion kilometers).

Scientists were able to capture the first image of the far-off planet on November 10, 2018, then make sure to detect it a second time earlier this month, via the Magellan telescope from the Karzai Observatory in Las Campanas, at Chile.

The discovery was made by Scientists Scott S. Sheppard of Carnegie University, David Tullin of the University of Hawaii and other astronomers from the University of Trujillo, in North of Arizona.

"The name has a double meaning, so it's called Far or a sign that it's too far," Sheppard said. "When I saw the planet for the first time, it was noisy: very far away."
