Mahmoud Wahid, the left-back of the new club Al Ahly, was delighted to "realize the dream of his life" as he had described it by joining the Red Team.
Mahmoud Wahid was at Al Ahly headquarters Thursday morning for the first time since joining the team.
"I have achieved my dream of joining the biggest club on the continent and one of the biggest clubs in the world," Mahmoud Wahid told reporters.
"I will try to be with the confidence of the big masses and hope to be at the service of all."
"The competition inside Al-Ahly is very difficult because the team has a large number of players among the best."
Al-Ahli had formally signed an agreement with Mahmoud Wahid to support the left back for four and a half seasons after the withdrawal of Egypt.
The 24-year-old is eligible to compete with Al Ahli starting in January and will be his first match with the team to which he is entitled to play against Pyramids on 4 January.
Al-Ahli is preparing to face the country on Saturday night, in the sixth round of the Egyptian championship.
