Conference of the sponsorship of the Declaration of Ahli – Mahmoud Khatib – Mohammed Kamel
The Nile Palace Crimes Tribunal headed by Councilor Amr Fahmy acquitted Mahmoud Al Khatib, president of the Al Ahli club, and Al Amri Farouk, vice president of the club in case no. 9894 of 2018 and registered under number 5852, in the center of Cairo.
The appeal of the Nile Palace appealed to the court to confirm the acquittal and dismissed the civil lawsuit, considered a final decision preventing the return of an investigation in this regard and closing the curtain on the issue of Al Ahli club contributions.
A lawyer and a pharmacist have filed in the court an offense on the basis of press statements, including the acceptance of the administration of donations from Ahli to the club. The plaintiffs have filed a copy of the correspondence from the Al Ahli club management addressed to the Minister of Youth and Sports and the Directorate of Youth and Sports in Cairo.
Al-Ahly's defense provided documents informing Mahmoud Al-Khatib, head of the Al-Ahli club, the relevant authorities, as well as the approval of the administrative authority to accept these donations at the time to receive them.
Mahmoud Al-Khatib has been president of Al-Ahly since November 2017.
