A new study found that skipping breakfast increases the risk of diabetes by about a third.

People who did not eat their morning meal were 33% more likely to develop type 2 diabetes, according to an analysis of nearly 100,000 people, according to Daily Mail.

Overweight people are more likely to miss breakfast because they mistakenly believe that it reduces the total number of calories consumed.

The team found that people who skipped breakfast were 22% more likely to have diabetes, regardless of weight. They can also take a large meal, which results in a significant increase in glucose and insulin, which is not good for metabolism, and increases the risk of type 2 diabetes.

The study found that breakfast with high proportions of whole grains, with low levels of red meat and sugar, is the best in general.
