The official report of the Saudi Olympic Committee announced on Twitter the resignation of Al-Sheikh and stated in a message that the account: "The adviser, Mr. Turki bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Sheikh, chairman of the board of 39, administration of the Saudi Olympic Committee, officially resigned from his post, at the meeting of the General Assembly.Elect a new chairman of the board. "

For its part, the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation announced in its official account on Twitter the resignation of Al-Sheikh from the presidency of the federation and wrote: "His Excellency Mr. Turki bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Sheikh has resigned of his position as chairman of the board of directors of the Federation of Sports of Islamic Solidarity. "

The two resignations took place after Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz on Thursday issued a royal decree exempting Turki Al-Sheikh from the presidency of the General Authority for Sport and naming him head of the authority entertainment.

It should be noted that Al-Sheikh also heads the Arab Football Federation.
