Algerian coach Gamal Belmady is hoping to host the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa instead of Egypt.
"The weather will be very difficult in Egypt and it will not help us."
"The heat in Egypt is very high and it will not help us play against South Africa," he told An-Nahar, an Algerian.
"I hope the tournament will be held in South Africa instead of Egypt."
Egypt is competing with South Africa to host the 2019 Africa Nations Cup.
The African Football Confederation (CAF) will announce that it will be "enough" for the new organizing country to take over from Cameroon at the African Player of the Year trophy ceremony in January.
The 2019 Africa Nations Championship will be held with the participation of 24 teams divided into six groups for the first time in the history of the tournament.
Egypt hosted the African Cup of Nations four times in 1959, 1974 and 1986, the last of which was the 2006 championship, in which our team won the fifth title in its history.
