The last match between Egypt and Nigeria in the qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations

The Nigerian Football Federation has confirmed Nigeria's friendly match with Egypt at the stadium, Stephen Keshi, in Asaba, in the south of the country.

The Egyptian federation announced on Dec. 20 that the Pharaohs would face the excellent Eagles after the recent Egyptian match against Niger in the 2019 Nations Cup qualifiers.

Nigerian officials set the match date on March 26 after finalizing preparations with the Delta provincial government, the stadium owes its name to Stephen Keshi, the most prolific footballer in the history of Nigerian football.

The match takes place four days after the match between Nigeria and Seychelles in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Nigeria, three-time African champion, played his last match in Asaba six weeks ago and scored goal scoreless against Uganda.

Egypt, Africa's most capped player, played his last game against Nigeria in the qualifiers of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations. He scored a goal in Nigeria and scored a draw in Alexandria to qualify for the final in front of the Eagles.

The next match will be the 18th match between the two teams, Nigeria winning seven and one victory out of five, and equalizing the two teams in the remaining matches.
