Watspab warned that its application for instant messaging would soon be no longer possible on some older operating systems.
According to the company, its application will no longer be available after December 31, 2018 for owners of handsets operating on the Nokia Series 40 platform, one of the most used mobile phones in the world, with more than 1, 5 billion devices installed in 2012.
Watts AG also announced that it would not support smartphones running Android 2.3.7 and iOS 7 and earlier as of February 1, 2020.
She explained that it would no longer be possible to create new accounts in the old operating systems mentioned and that some features might stop working at any time.
