The researchers have come up with a scientific breakthrough able to eliminate Alzheimer's disease in 10 years and significantly stop the spread of the disease.
Alzheimer's disease is a brain dysfunction named after the German physician Alusi Alzheimer, who discovered the disease in 1906, an aging disease that affects the elderly, especially after 65 years.
British researchers specializing in the study say that the disease will receive a syringe to be treated within 10 years and that it will target the genes responsible for the development of the disease.
"We are looking forward to finding a complete cure for the disease, but we have some questions that we need to answer in terms of research on the disease," said Dr. James Pickett, Research Manager at the Alzheimer Society.
"As we have been doing for 30 years in the field of AIDS treatment, we are now trying to invest this knowledge in the treatment of the disease after understanding the details of this disease," he said.
The new treatment will prevent the accumulation of harmful proteins in the brain, responsible for Alzheimer's disease, safely.
About 5.7 million people in the world suffer from Alzheimer's disease, including 850,000 in Britain and a large part in the United States.
