Millions of osteoporosis patients hope to recover from this disease, especially after scientists have discovered dozens of genes responsible. According to Daily Mail, researchers have analyzed 426,000 patients and identified 518 genes that play a role in bone loss.
The findings of a team of Canadian academics provide an explanation for the development of osteoporosis and lead to better and less expensive treatment than existing drugs that have side effects in closing these genes.
A recent study conducted at the University of Genoa in Italy showed that turmeric helps build and repair bones and increases their density in the elderly. Three million people in Britain and about 44 million in the United States suffer from osteoporosis.
