Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo has announced new statements that he is happy to leave Real Madrid, despite his exploits with the Royal Team during his nine seasons in the Spanish capital.
Ronaldo confirmed that 2018 was "the best year of his football career" as he "once again won the Champions League and signed for his current club, Juventus".
"2018 is the best year of my career, everyone in Turin has welcomed me in a wonderful way, we all feel very good, I do not know when I will finish my career, but I want to continue for a long time," he told Portuguese sports daily The Record.
"I do not work to break the record, but I work for the club I represent."
Ronaldo's hints at the "stubbornness" of his former club are not without saying that his departure for Santiago Bernabeu was marked by many differences with the club's management.
Ronaldo's comments are a shock to Real Madrid fans, who had remarkable feats in the Ronaldo era with the "Royal", which allowed the team to win every possible title with her.
The 33-year-old joined Juventus last summer for 112 million euros, after nine seasons spent at Real Madrid. He is currently the top scorer in Serie A.
