The English Premier League has named Egyptian international player Mohamed Salah for a new prize.
Sky Sports has chosen Mohammed Salah as the most prominent player in 2018.
Salah won the BBC African Player of the Year Award in 2018, December 14, for the second time in his history.
The Premier League announced candidates for the Premiership Player of the Year award last December.
Mohammed Salah topped the list with compatriot Virgil Van Dijk, despite losing to Manchester City on Thursday alongside Marcus Rushford of Manchester United.
Tottenham Hotspur, Harry Ken and Huong Min-son, Eddin Hazard of Chelsea and Felipe Anderson, West Ham United striker.
Mohammed Salah led Liverpool to the top of the Premier League with 54 points. The Reds broke the record in seven games last month.
Harry Kane, the Premier League's top scorer so far with 14 goals, is tied with Pierre Emeric Obamiane of Arsenal, with a single goal behind Mohamed Salah.
