India has won its first Cup victory in Asia since the 1964 tournament, at the expense of Thailand.
India beat Thailand 4-0 in Group A of the first round of the Asian Cup.
India's Sunil Chitri scored the first goal in the 26th minute with a penalty, before Thailand tied in the 32nd minute of Terasil Dangda, ending the first period with a draw for each team.
In the second half, Shitri came back and added the second goal in the 46th minute. Goal to raise its score to 67 international goals and four goals in the Asian Cup.
Aneruda Thapa added a third goal in the 67th minute with a shot over the goalkeeper.
Finally, Gigi Lalakhlua scored the fourth goal in the 80th minute after taking a great shot off the penalty area, resulting in a 4-0 win over India.
India won the third point in Group A, while the United Arab Emirates come with Bahrain in second place with one point each and Thailand in last place.
