Watsab has announced the suspension of its support for more than 1.5 billion phones using the Nokia S40 operating system by the end of the last day of 2018.
The company expressed regret for this decision, which it described as difficult, but said at the same time that "in order to better serve its customers and facilitate communication with his friends," according to the newspaper "The Sun" .
The Nokia S40 was introduced in 1999 and is one of the most used operating systems on existing Nokia devices, including 31 Nokia devices.
Watsab says that, unfortunately, the previous discussions can not be recovered because there is no system to save conversations on the Nokia S40 operating system.
It is also planned to stop the support of all IOS 7 phones by 1 February 2020 and will not work on devices running Android 2.3.7 or later.
