Ahli club president Mahmoud al-Khatib held a special session with the players before going to Alexandria to register in a closed camp and asked his players to return on the road to victory.
Al-Ahli is in a closed camp from Monday in preparation for the two qualifying matches of the Egyptian league and the Vita Club in the Champions League.
Al-Khatib has asked his players to quickly return on track to win the championship, after a 2-2 draw against the Interior and a 2-1 defeat against Pyramids.
The president of the Red Castle stressed that his players had to focus on the current phase and come back for positive results.
After the meeting between Al-Khatib and the players of Al Ahli, another session was held with Sayed Abdel Hafiz, director of football and Mohamed Youssef, the general coach, to reassure him on the conditions of the team.
Ahli will face Zamalek on Tuesday in a game postponed from the 15th day of the Egyptian league, alongside the shock of the Vita Club on Saturday in the first round of the group stage of the African Champions League.
