Mohamed Salah, the star of Liverpool and Egypt, has expressed his wish to win the title of African player of the year for the second time in a row.
Salah revealed his ambition not to stop there but to win the third and fourth titles.
"He is happy to be here at the biggest event of the Africans and we will see what happens tonight," Salah said at a press conference with his colleague Mani.
"I do not know who will win the best player award, we all have the same chances and we want to do our best for all of us next year."
"For me, Eto's and Touré are great players and I always say I do not like being better than anyone, I just want to win this prize for the second, third, and even fourth time," he said. explained Salah.
"The hosting of this year's championship is fantastic," said Salah, "we're looking forward to winning the title this time because we have not won in a long time."
"The best thing for me to do is to have African nations after the end of the season, but the weather will be the only problem," he said.
"Everyone knows that summer will be better in countries like Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco," he said.
"January is the best of Africa, but it's hard for us because of the professionalism of the players in the clubs outside of Africa," Salah said.
