Mohamed Abou Treika, former player of the Egyptian national team, Mohamed Salah, the current star of Pharaoh and Liverpool, has been named African player of the year for the second year in a row.
The African Football Confederation (CAF) announced at a ceremony held yesterday in Dakar, Senegal that Mohammed Salah had been named African player of the year.
Abu Trika declared on his own account on the social networking site "Twitter": "Congratulations to our brilliant Egyptian star, always Mohamed Salah, for the African Player of the Year award for the second year in a row."
He continued: "A deserved prize, the promise of the Africa Championship for Egypt 2019, our eternal legend."
It is interesting to note that Mohammed Salah, after receiving the award, asked him whether or not he was Africa's ambassador to the world after receiving the award. He replied that Mohammed Abu Trika was the star of all ages.
Congratulations to our famous Egyptian star Mohamed Salah for the second time in a row for the second consecutive year, an award he deserved.
