It intends to continue this strategy to offset the decline in handset sales. To this end, Apple CEO Tim Cook said Apple plans to launch new services this year.
It has long been thought that Apple was developing its own broadcast service, movies, and television programs to compete with Netflix. Many expected this service last year, but now it seems that the company plans to launch it later this year.
In an interview with CNBC, Tim Cook announced that Apple was planning to announce new services this year. Unfortunately, Apple's first man did not reveal other details; it is therefore difficult to know exactly what new services he is talking about. This statement came from Mr. Tim Cook in response to a question from host Jim Cramer about potential services that Apple could use in other sectors such as health and entertainment.
The long-awaited broadcast service could be one of many new services Apple is offering this year. There is not much clarity on this aspect yet. Apple recently decided to collaborate with several TV companies, such as Samsung, LG, Sony, and Vizio, to support the AirPlay 2 feature for its modern smart TVs.
