In the history of Zamalek, Al-Bayyad has not played a role of exclusion in the various African competitions after a 0-0 draw away to the first leg.
Zamalek drew 0-0 with the Moroccan Union of Tangier in the second round of the Confederations Cup in Morocco, which has been repeated 4 times in the history of Zamalek.
Two of the four titles were African titles for Zamalek, the first in 1993 after a 0-0 draw with Ghana's Kotoko and a shootout in Cairo after a draw.
In 2002, Zamalek made the same decision in Morocco before beating giant Moroccan Please in Cairo 1-0 and winning the last title of the African Champions League.
In 1999, Zamalek drew 1-1 at Tambonne Stadium Rennillon before taking a three-point lead in Cairo to reach the quarter-finals of the African Cup of Nations.
The last time Zamalek managed this, it was in the African Champions League in 2014, where they drew 0-0 against Zambian Nkana, before winning five in Egypt, qualifying for the group stage of the tournament.
Zamalek is waiting for his return after six days in Egypt to qualify for the group stage, hoping to regain the glory of the white African who stopped in 2002 and crowned the final of the African Champions League.
