LONDON (Reuters) – Tottenham Hotspur striker, Sun Hyung-min, arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Monday to support South Korea's 2018 Asian Cup.
Sun, who received an enthusiastic welcome from supporters, missed South Korea's first two games after a previous contract with Tottenham, but will be ready to face China on Tuesday to nominate leaders in Group C.
South Korea beat the Philippines and Kyrgyzstan with the same score of 1-0, but will need a third consecutive victory to grab the China summit, which also has six points.
South Korea and China have qualified for the knockout stages, but the leaders could be easier as they face a team that finished third in their group.
Sun played every minute of the 1-0 defeat of Manchester United on Sunday in the 22nd round of the Premiership.
Sun has scored eight goals for Tottenham this season, seven more goals and is one of the most offensive elements of Argentine coach Mauricio Buccetino.
