With a difference of 16%, Ahli has so far swept away Zamalek's most popular vote in Egypt

The Ahli club beat Zamalek in a referendum organized by the Spanish newspaper Marca on the most popular team in Egypt.

The Ahli club won a 58% vote, while Zamalek won a 42% vote with a 16% margin for the Red Club, topping the list of Egypt's most popular clubs.

To date, 169,278 people from all over the world have participated in the referendum, which includes the world's largest patrol clubs, but the newspaper has not revealed the date of the vote so far.

The White Club leads the Egyptian league standings with 41 points, while Ahli is third with 27 points.
