Nicola Rooney, of the University of Bristol, England, said that dogs warn patients of these seizures by feeling the smell of the sick person changing in a crisis.
Scientists monitored the lives of 27 people with diabetes over 12 weeks, asking them to record the dogs' reactions before the onset of diabetes and to change the behavior of dogs at those times.
The results showed that dogs were able to determine the timing of these attacks and warn their owners.
This is confirmed by Rooney, stating that the relationship between the patient and his dog contributes significantly to the warning of the approach of Nubia or the difference in blood sugar levels because dogs have a great ability to smell that makes any change in the patient's body feel.
