James Milner of Liverpool, best player of the season in the club, chose English as a surprise for many.
Milner dismissed Dutch defender Virgil Van Dijk and Egypt's Mohamed Salah, describing Brazilian goalkeeper and club Alison Becker as the best.
"It's hard to pick a player because everyone got good results, not just eleven.I think the best was Allison, all the more so that it's not easy to join a new league, "said Milner.
