MADRID: Real Madrid coach Santiago Solari prevented his team from scoring on Wednesday for Leganes to double his offensive performance, losing his goal but qualifying for the King's Cup thanks to a 3-0 win on the visitors.
"We performed badly, especially in the first half," said Solari after the meeting.
"All the players had to share a little time, they had it, we went through the match, but the performance was mediocre."
"We sometimes try to do things and when we do not work, we try to develop them," said Solari, who missed his injury to striker Karim Benzema.
Real has qualified for the quarter-finals and is waiting for the draw to see his next opponent.
