Ibrahim Osman, President Ismaili, thanked the team captain, Hosni Abed Rabbo, for his contribution to the club during the last period, before announcing his retirement Wednesday.
"I thank him for all the effort and sweat he has made for the team and I wish him continued success in his off-field career," Osman said in a press release.
"Players now have to make up for the void left by Abed Rabbo, we have a lot of tough matches to come, both in the African Champions League and in the league," he said.
"Abed Rabbo has put a lot of pressure throughout his career."
Abed Rabbo revealed that he had decided to withdraw from football at the end of last season, but the Ismaili conditions have kept him waiting for months.

Hosni Abed Rabbo, 34, began his career with Ismaili's first team in 2002 and moved to Strasbourg in 2005 before returning to Darwish in 2007.
Abed Rabbo moved to the UAE in 2008 for one season, then returned to Ismaili, moving from Saudi Arabia to Saudi Arabia in 2012 and the Saudi victory until 2013.
From 2013 to 2019, the tsar continued to be attracted to Egyptian football fans with Ismaili.

With regard to Egypt, the march of Tsar Husni Abed Rabbo has nothing wrong, starting with his victory at the African Youth Nations Championship in 2003.
