The 2019 Asian Cup Media Committee disapproved of the inclusion of one of the commentators of the sports channel BN Sports Qatar, Politics in Sport.
In a statement, the committee discussed what the commentator had said in his speech on the match between Saudi Arabia and Qatar, scheduled for Thursday, stating that there was no supporters for the Qatari team.
The Committee stressed that this is totally prohibited in accordance with the rules and regulations of the International Football Federation and the principles of the Olympic Committee, and that the truth is totally inconsistent with this comment.
The committee said in a statement that the Qatari media delegation and AFC had previously stated that there were no obstacles to the Qatari mission during the tournament and provided them with all the necessary facilities.
He also called on officials of the AFC and the International Federation to initiate all the appropriate lawsuits against BEIN SPORTS because of the introduction of politics in sport.
