NEW YORK (Reuters Health) – A new study suggests drinking sweet soda and caffeine after physical exertion, as it would have a detrimental effect on the body's dryness rather than hydrate it.

Soft drinks high in fructose and caffeine are the most common in the world. But there is more and more evidence of the link between regular consumption of these drinks and problems with diabetes, obesity and kidney damage.

The results of the new study were published in the Journal of Physiology and showed that the consumption of a large amount of fructose increased the dryness of the body. During or after exercise, the body had lost sweat and needed to be hydrated.
