Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Iraq has reached the quarterfinals of the 2019 Asian Cup after beating Iraq 1-0 in a friendly match against the Republic of Korea in the next round.

At the Al Nahyan stadium in Abu Dhabi, the first period ended in a negative result, even though both teams went ahead.

In the second half, Qatari-born Bassam Al-Rawi scored the winning goal for Qatar in the 62nd minute following a solid ball.

The Qatari team will play against South Korea, who eliminated the Bahraini team with a 2-1 win over them earlier on Tuesday.
