Technology experts have warned Android users of 9 "harmful" apps that would use the battery to drain the phone's battery capacity, according to Sky News Arabia.
And apps that have been warned millions of times on devices, "Android", and have caused the emergence of unwanted ads, as well as their role in damaging batteries.
The complaints spread across the nine apps have been removed from the Google Play Store, but they still exist on phones already repaired. "The nine apps hide unwanted codes," said Lucas Stefano, researcher in information security.
Stefano said the apps had replaced the warning, turning the phone into a remote for TV or air conditioning, prompting users to download it. But their harmful effects appear quickly with frequent advertising impressions and rapid battery depletion.
The nine apps have similar names:
– Remote control for television and electronic devices
– Remote control for free TV
– Air conditioner remote control
– Remote control of television
– Remote control for air conditioner
– Remote control for the car (stuffing)
– Universal TV remote control
– TV remote control
– Remote control
