Liverpool legend, Graeme Sounes, believes the current Reds are capable of winning the English Premier League title more than any recent generation that has failed to do so.
Liverpool has not been crowned in the English Premier League since 1990.
"We are in an excellent position, they should avoid defeat, the road is still long before the end of the championship, and Manchester City is a very good team," said Sounis. "If you can keep the four point difference, it's fine, it will help you in the long run."
"The current team has a very good level, it's a very strong group when they do not control, they have the ability to win matches.
"It's hard to retain the title, and that's true, but I think it's hard to win for the first time," said the former Liverpool player. Things go as you wish, and that's when big players come to help the team during these moments.
"I have more and more the feeling that Liverpool will win the championship this year because of its pragmatic way, sometimes I do not think that they were like that in the past, the important was to win the match 3-0 instead of 1 "You do not want to swap the lead with another team, it is always better to have four points in advance."
Our Egyptian star Mohamed Salah leads Liverpool to the English Premier League title after 23 games with 60 points and four points for defending champion Manchester City.
Salah is on the top scorer with 16 goals, two goals behind Tottenham striker Harry Kane and Arsenal striker Pierre Obamyang.
