Parisian star St Germain left the stadium in tears after suffering a possible injury to the right ankle in the 2-0 win over Strasbourg in the 32nd Cup match on Wednesday.
The Brazilian left the stadium an hour later after receiving a blow and a sprained ankle three weeks before Saint-Germain's visit to Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League round of 32.
The Ligue 1 leaders are already struggling with an injury, losing the ankle injury to midfielder Marco Fierrati.
The team of coach Tomas Tochel is now ahead of two goals from Edison Cavani and Angel Maria.
In the same tournament, St Etienne lost 6-3 against Dijon.
