Japan became the first team to qualify for the semifinals of the 2019 Asian Cup after beating Vietnam 1-0 in the quarter-finals on Thursday.
Japan's Ritsu Duan, who scored the only goal in the 55th minute, was credited with the win.
Japan will be in the semifinals with the winner of the match, which will bring together China and Iran.
The Japanese team qualified for the post, having held the top of Group F with nine points, then defeated Saudi Arabia 1-0 in the round of 16.
While Vietnam qualified among the top four teams in third place, after finishing in Group D with three points, then beat Jordan 4-2 on penalties after the end of the original and an overtime at from a 1-1 draw.
