Diaz will be on the team's side lines on Feb. 4, but from the stands, headed by Ahmed Hassan, the club's general supervisor.
Pyramids are in second place in the Egyptian league with 39 points in 20 games, three points behind Zamalek, but the leaders have three games postponed.
