Emergency Statement in the State of Washington because of the Spread of Measles
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Washington State Governor Jay Inlesley on Monday called for a state of emergency in the country's state, where health authorities have identified 32 cases of measles.
In the state of emergency, Insley said that the presence of these injuries posed a risk to public health and that it could spread quickly to other counties: yesterday, 31 children were injured in Clark County, south of the state, including 21 children aged 1 to 10 years. Years of the same disease in King County.
The decision authorizes the governor to declare state of emergency to the state authorities using all available resources and to "do everything possible" to help the provinces affected by the spread of measles.
