Inter coach, Luciano Spalletti, spoke to Ivan Pericic after the latter had asked to leave the club.
Pepe Marotta, the club's general manager, announced his team's request to leave the club. (See details)
"The crisis in Pericić is very simple in this case," said Spalletti.
"To be able to leave, one of them has to pay for it," he said in a statement quoted by Italian football.
"Players can talk about anything but in the end they are bound by a contract and whoever wants to leave, someone has to pay for it," he said.
"If Marotta, the executive director of Inter, says that Presic no longer wants to play again, no problem, he will not play with us anymore."
The BBC broadcast Friday its exclusive report revealing the desire of Arsenal to have a loan signed in Perezic from Inter with a right to purchase. (See details)
The latest offer from Arsenal was a loan of 4 million euros for the end of the season, with a buyout of 40 million euros.
But Inter does not want to lend Perisic, but resells it for good. Which has blocked the transaction until now.
Perezic joined Wenceslas Inter in the summer of 2015 for £ 17.1 million; his contract ends in the summer of 2022.
The Croatian international has been on the sidelines of Inter this season playing 25 matches in all competitions, scoring 3 goals and 5 more.
