Ahli asked the Football Association to nominate foreign referees for the team's matches against Zamalek and Pyramids.
An official statement released by Ahli said: "The club has sent a letter to the Football Association to request the appointment of foreign referees for Ahli's matches with Zamalek and Pyramids in the championship."
But Ahli's statement added: "Ahli's administration has confirmed that referees were coming from Europe and had a strong biography for the Continental and International Championships."
Serbian forward Danilo Groszic led the match against Pyramids and Al Ahli in the championship which ended in favor of the Pyramids 2-1.
Al-Ahli and Zamalek were last played by the Egyptian Mahmoud Al-Hanafi and ended 2-1 for the White.
Zamalek leads the league with 3 points behind the pyramids and 9 on Ahli.
