Japan ended a 43-year-old Iranian dream and denied it a fourth Asian Cup title by winning 3-0 in the semi-finals on Monday at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain. .
Japan reached the final for the fifth time after its peak in 1992, 2000, 2004 and 2011, while the Iranian dream reached the final after the titles of 1968, 1972 and 1976.
