"The People's Assembly pays tribute to Mohamed Salah, an Egyptian," said Tharwat Sweilem, executive director of the Egyptian Football Federation.
"The members of the People's Assembly wish to honor Salah under the dome of parliament," said Sweilem via Echo Al-Balad.
"The coordination was to be the date of honor when Salah joined the camp in March."
"The board of directors of the football federation chaired by Hani Abu Reda and the technical staff of the team will participate in this ceremony."
"The recognition of Salah by the Parliament will attract the attention of the whole world and will convey an important message: this great star is a model for all young Arabs," said the executive director of the Football Federation and member of the Assembly of the people.
The team will play two games in March against Niger at the 2019 Nations Cup of Nations, then face Nigeria in a friendly match.
