Dubai's deputy chief of police and public security, Dhahi Khalfan, of the UAE's national team, Khalid Issa Bilal, blamed the loss of the UAE to Qatar on Tuesday.
Khalfan said in a tweet posted today in his official account on Twitter that the UAE team did not behave well against Qatar, especially the goalkeeper.
The weakening, the poor physical condition, the lack of football skills and the bad coaching plan all brought together our team who faced Qatar yesterday.
In a watch for the goalkeeper .. I learned the problem. One of them asked after our victory with Australia what you felt meeting our team with Qatar .. I said my fear of our guard .. Its level is low … My guess is not gone– Dhahi Khalfan Tamim (@Dhahi_Khalfan) January 30, 2019
The Qatar team defeated the UAE's "host country" with a four-virgin, to reserve the title for the 2019 Asian Cup final for the first time in its history, to face Japan on February 1st.
